Artist's Description
I took the reference photo on the day this dog was adopted from a local rescue and knew it would someday become a sensitive portrait. That's the dog's new owner's arm (in a fleece shirt) embracing her.
This drawing received a Silver Award (Second Place) in the Master Division at the 2017 International Society of Scratchboard Artists' Exhibition, held in South Australia.
I created the original drawing in scratchboard (on a white board), using India ink, watercolor (eyes) and art markers.

Wanted to let you know that I started a new discussion in my group "Scratchboard" about artwork (and artists) that I find impressive and inspiring. But, I want others to join in so that we can create a unique collection foat possible buyers can browse through. Should you have the time, please stop by, look around and join in - if you wish. Also, this is the piece I have chosen to represent your talent.
